Becky Swambar

Becky Swambar is an Assistant Professor of Nursing and Clinical Coordinator at Carthage College. She holds an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from College of Lake County (CLC), a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Olivet Nazarene University, and is completing her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) set for 2025.

With 16 years of clinical experience, Prof. Swambar has worked in level one trauma nursing, critical care, pediatric nursing, and hospice nursing. She began teaching at Carthage in 2021, instructing courses such as Fundamentals of Nursing, Advanced Core Clinicals, Adult Health 3 Clinical, and Med/Surg. She also serves as the didactic lead for NSG 4022 Complex Health Situations in Adults and teaches Clinical Scholarship at Herzing University.
