Professor Becky Earley is the UAL Chair of Circular Design Futures at Chelsea College of Arts, University of the Arts London. Her work focuses on sustainable and circular textile design, integrating material innovation, production models, and behavioral change strategies. She co-founded the Centre for Circular Design (CCD) and collaborates with global brands to embed sustainable practices. Earley holds an MA in Fashion from UAL (1992–1994) and a BA in Textiles from Loughborough University (1989–1992).
Research interests include circular textile design, material lifecycle management, and industry-academia collaboration. Notable projects include the EU-funded Trash-2-Cash initiative and Mistra Future Fashion. Awards include the London Fashion Week New Generation Award and Morgan Stanley Great Briton nomination.
- Grants: Led projects such as Herewear (EU-funded, 2020–2024), Trash-2-Cash (2015–2019), and Mistra Future Fashion.
- Awards: Recognized for contributions to sustainable fashion, including Prince’s Trust and Peugeot Design Awards.
