Dr Becca K Burns serves as Vice-Provost (Research, Innovation and Global Engagement) at University College London, a senior leadership position overseeing the university's research strategy and innovation ecosystem. In this role, she directs multiple strategic initiatives including Pan-RIGE Strategy, Policy and Delivery, Strategy, Policy and Institutional Programmes, and RIGE: Grand Challenges.
Her responsibilities encompass the full spectrum of research coordination across UCL, with particular focus on planning, insight and improvement within Research and Innovation Services. As a member of UCL's senior academic leadership team, she plays a critical role in shaping the institution's research direction and global engagement strategy.
As Vice-Provost, Dr Burns leads efforts to strengthen UCL's research excellence, foster innovation, and expand international partnerships. Her work impacts all academic disciplines across the university as she develops and implements strategies to enhance research performance and maximize the societal impact of UCL's scholarly activities.
