Prof. Bartho Treis is a former professor at the University of Göttingen, where he held the professorship for General Business Administration, Marketing, and Trade from 1974 to 2003. He obtained his doctorate in 1996 with a thesis on 'The Procurement of Agricultural Products' and holds a degree in business studies from the University of Munich (1966). He also passed his first state law examination at the Higher Regional Court of Hamm (1961).
