Barry Kellman is Professor of Law at DePaul University College of Law, teaching International Criminal Law, Environmental Law, International Law of Peace and Security, International Environmental Justice, and The Law of Antiterrorism. He served as the 2014 Fulbright Distinguished Chair in Public International Law at Lund University, Sweden.

For over 25 years, Professor Kellman has pioneered research in weapons control law and international security, specializing in chemical, biological, nuclear, and conventional weapons eradication. His current work focuses on writing "Weapons Under Law", developing a course on International Law of Weapons Control, and researching nuclear disarmament and directed energy weapons regulation. This bridges environmental justice, security studies, and bioscience ethics through frameworks like the Kampala Compact.
