Bard Edouard is a Professor at the Collège de France holding the statutory Chair in Climate and Ocean Evolution since 2001. He concurrently serves as Deputy Director of the European Centre for Research and Education in Environmental Geosciences (CEREGE) in Aix-en-Provence. A French national, he was elected to the Academia Europaea in 2009 and holds memberships in prestigious scientific societies globally.
His research focuses on geology, climatology, and oceanography with emphasis on climate evolution mechanisms. Notable contributions include studies on paleoclimatic records from marine sediments and isotopic analyses to understand Earth's climate dynamics.
