Dr Badrieh Al Abbad is a Lecturer in Physiotherapy (Neurology) at Keele University's School of Allied Health Professions and Pharmacy since November 2021. She holds a PhD in Physiotherapy from Keele University (2020), an MSc in Neurological Rehabilitation from Keele (2013), and a BSc in Physiotherapy from October 6 University, Cairo (2003). With over 18 years of professional experience across Egypt, Jordan, and the UK, she specialized in neurology and musculoskeletal rehabilitation within the NHS for six years, developing leadership and clinical expertise.

Research Interests: Focuses on self-management strategies for neurological conditions (e.g., Multiple Sclerosis, Stroke), patient and caregiver experiences, and optimizing rehabilitation pathways. Her PhD developed a client-centered care model bridging regional and community healthcare centers for PwMS.
Teaching & Supervision: Teaches neurological rehabilitation across all school programs and supervises undergraduate/postgraduate research projects. Registered with HCPC and Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).
