Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayhan IŞIK is an Associate Professor at Karabük University, Faculty of Theology, Department of Basic Islamic Sciences. He currently serves as Vice Dean and Head of Department at the university. With a strong background in Islamic studies and Ottoman history, Dr. IŞIK specializes in Islamic sects, Seyyid lineage studies, and Ottoman religious institutions.

He has conducted extensive research on Şer'iyye Sicilleri (Islamic court records) and their implications for understanding Ottoman social history.
