Fatih ŞABANİ is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Islamic Law at Trakya University's Faculty of Theology since 2023. He holds a Ph.D. from Marmara University (2020) and master's (2011) and bachelor's (2009) degrees from Uludağ University, all in Islamic Law. His research focuses on Ottoman legal frameworks governing non-Muslim communities, Albanian rebellions under Ottoman rule, and post-Ottoman Islamic intellectual movements in the Balkans. He has published extensively on Dhimmī rights, Bektashi Sufism, and periodical analysis of Islamic thought.

Research Interests: Ottoman legal history, Dhimmī rebellions, Albanian Islamic historiography, Balkan periodicals' role in shaping religious thought, and Sufi cultural revivalism.
Recent Work Trends: His articles critically examine legal and socio-political dynamics of non-Muslim communities under Ottoman rule, with a particular focus on Albanian case studies. Recent conference papers expand into 20th-century Albanian religious journalism and Bektashi intellectual debates.
Professional Experience: Previously served as Senior Specialist in International Relations Office at Ibn Haldun University (2017-2023).
