Ayesha Marshall is an Honorary Lecturer in Tissue Viability at the University of Sunderland. She has been a qualified Registered Nurse since 1995, with extensive experience in surgical nursing, clinical trials, and safeguarding. For the past 20 years, she has specialized in tissue viability, focusing on complex wound care, prevention of pressure ulcers, and staff education programs. She currently teaches on the postgraduate Tissue Viability course and contributes to clinical practice across primary and secondary care settings.
Her research interests center on improving patient outcomes through wound care innovation and supporting carers and families of individuals with chronic wounds. She also engages in freelance writing for nursing journals, emphasizing clinical and educational advancements in her field.
