Dr. Ayesha Ayesha is an Early Career Researcher and Associate Lecturer at the University of Newcastle and Hunter Medical Research Institute. She holds a PhD in Medical Biochemistry (2019) from the University of Newcastle. Her research focuses on stem cell biology, organoid culture, and inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD). She developed patented organoid technologies critical for modeling human diseases like reproductive cancers and endometriosis. She is part of the Kaiko Group within the School of Biomedical Sciences and Pharmacy, College of Health, Medicine and Wellbeing.
