Avinash (Avi) Collis is an Assistant Professor at the Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy at Carnegie Mellon University. He holds a Ph.D. from MIT Sloan School of Management and is a digital fellow at MIT's Initiative on the Digital Economy and Stanford's Digital Economy Lab. His research focuses on the economic implications of information technologies, particularly in the digital economy, consumer welfare, and policy. He co-created GDP-B, a novel measure of welfare and growth in digital economies.
