Attila Mócsai is a Full Professor and Director of German-Language Medical Studies at Semmelweis University School of Medicine since 2015 and 2014 respectively. He has held academic roles since 1993, including Associate Professor (2007-2015) and Assistant Professor (2002-2007) at the same institution, and a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco (1999-2002).
- PhD (1999) and Medical Doctor (1993) from Semmelweis University
- Habilitation (2012) and Doctor of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (2013)
His research focuses on molecular mechanisms of innate immunity and inflammation, particularly neutrophil signaling and osteoclast-mediated bone resorption. He has authored 15+ high-impact publications, including studies in Nature Immunology and J. Exp. Med., elucidating roles of Syk kinase and integrin signaling in inflammatory diseases.
