Attila Mócsai

Attila Mócsai is a Professor of Physiology at the Department of Physiology, Faculty of Medicine, Semmelweis University, Budapest, Hungary. His research focuses on the molecular mechanisms of autoimmune diseases, intracellular signaling in phagocytic cells (neutrophils and macrophages), and the development and function of osteoclasts.

His recent work explores the role of Syk kinase, Src-family kinases, and JAK inhibitors in autoimmune and inflammatory disease models. Key themes include neutrophil signaling in arthritis and skin blistering disorders, dietary interventions affecting inflammatory outcomes, and the application of AI in histological analysis of bone microarchitecture. Studies also investigate osteoclast biology, reactive oxygen species regulation, and extracellular vesicle dynamics in inflammatory conditions.
