Athena Kirk

Athena Kirk is an Associate Professor at the Department of Classics, College of Arts and Sciences, Cornell University. Her research bridges Greek Literature with interdisciplinary studies of materiality, orality, and nonhuman agency in antiquity.

• Material qualities of ancient texts and public engagement

• Ancient literacy and oral traditions
