Dr. Athena Ganchorre is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Cellular and Molecular Medicine at the University of Arizona College of Medicine, Tucson. She also serves as the Executive Director of Curriculum and Integrative Learning, where she leads initiatives to enhance integrative and curriculum-based learning in medical education.
Her research focuses on medical student learning outcomes, particularly identifying students at risk for failing USMLE Step 1. She has extensive experience in improving student performance on high-stakes exams including the MCAT and USMLE Steps 1, 2, and 3. Her work bridges molecular and cellular biology with the learning sciences, emphasizing evidence-based strategies for academic success in biomedical training.
