Aslı Arda is an Assistant Professor at the University of Copenhagen's Faculty of Law, affiliated with the Center for Private Governance (CEPRI) and the Shipping and Ocean Law Group (SHOC). Since April 2023, she has been leading legal research in the Green Transition and the Law of Shipping (GreenLaSH) project, focusing on digitalization and decarbonization in shipping from a private law perspective.

Research Focus:
Her work lies at the intersection of maritime law, contract law, and technology law, with a strong emphasis on autonomous ships, digital arbitration, insurance law, and green shipping technologies. Her monograph Arbitration Clauses and Third Parties (2023) is a foundational text in comparative arbitration law.
