Ashok Srinivasan

Ashok Srinivasan, MD, FACR is a Clinical Professor of Radiology and Associate Chair for Operations, Quality & Safety at the University of Michigan’s Department of Radiology. He previously served as Director of Neuroradiology (2012-2022) and holds roles including Program Associate of Procedural and Interventional Radiology, and Associate Chief of Staff for Peer Review. Affiliated with the Samuel and Jean Frankel Cardiovascular Center, his research focuses on advanced imaging techniques like diffusion/perfusion imaging, AI integration, and head/neck tumor characterization.

Dr. Srinivasan has published over 170 papers and 8 book chapters, with contributions to journals like Radiology and European Radiology. He serves on editorial boards including Radiology: Imaging Cancer (Deputy Editor) and JAMA-Otolaryngology (Radiology Editor). His awards include RSNA Honored Educator (2023) and ACR Fellowship (2021). He chairs committees such as the ABR Core Exam for Neuroradiology and has led RSNA’s Neuroradiology Program Committee (2015-2018).

His research spans diffusion tensor imaging of nerves, MS lesion characterization, and AI-driven radiotherapy quality assurance. Recent work explores 0.55T MRI applications and pediatric temporal bone CT comparisons. He actively participates in national/international radiology conferences and has served as ASNR Visiting Professor in Thailand (2017) and Brazil (2020).
