Ashish P Wasnik

Dr. Ashish P Wasnik serves as Clinical Professor and Associate Chair of Faculty Affairs in the Department of Radiology at the University of Michigan Medical School. He previously held leadership roles as Division Director of Abdominal and Cross-sectional Interventional Radiology and Medical Director of Abdominal Ultrasound. His affiliations span clinical academia, national radiology societies, and research consortia including the OPRA Consortium for rectal cancer studies.

Dr. Wasnik's research focuses on artificial intelligence applications in abdominal imaging, with specialized expertise in Crohn's disease severity quantification, ovarian mass characterization, and gastrointestinal oncologic imaging. His work integrates morphomics and machine learning to develop objective disease assessment tools, particularly for bowel imaging and tumor response evaluation.
