Masis Isikbay

Masis Isikbay, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Radiology at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), affiliated with the UCSF School of Medicine. He completed his medical degree at Harvard Medical School (2018), followed by a general surgery internship (2019), diagnostic radiology residency (2023, serving as Chief Resident), and neuroradiology fellowship (2024) at UCSF. Dr. Isikbay is actively involved in medical education, having mentored pre-medical and medical students, led radiology training symposia, and developed educational resources. His research focuses on improving clinical care through machine learning in imaging, quality improvement projects, and diagnostic/procedural education. Notably, he co-developed an updated classification system for spinal arteriovenous shunts and received the 2023 Elmer Ng Outstanding Resident Award. He serves as Deputy Editor for Radiology and holds editorial and committee roles in radiological societies like the ACR and ASNR.
