Ashley Brett

Dr. Ashley Brett is a Senior Lecturer in Primary Education at the University of Greenwich's School of Education with 25 years of experience in primary education. His roles have included primary school teacher, education consultant for Essex County Council, and deputy head teacher. He holds a BSc, MA, PGCE, and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).

Brett's research focuses on Health Education and Health Promotion, with expertise in curriculum development across arts, humanities, religious education, and mathematics. He developed innovative approaches to integrate thinking skills into pedagogy and has led authority-wide teacher training programs.

As deputy head at Wohl Ilford Jewish Primary School, he established performance monitoring systems and served as Child Protection Lead. At Essex County Council, he coordinated school improvement initiatives that raised achievement standards for 1,500+ students.
