Ashleigh Woods

Ashleigh Woods is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Nursing at Berry College. She holds a BSN, MSN in Case Management, and an Ed.D. in Instructional Leadership from the University of Alabama. Her clinical background includes labor and delivery, neonatal intensive care (level III), cardiac ICU, and occupational health nursing. She transitioned to education in 2011, teaching at Bevill State Community College and later as an Assistant Professor at the University of Alabama. She is a certified nurse educator and active in organizations like Sigma Theta Tau and the National League of Nursing.

Her research focuses on active learning strategies, simulation, curricular improvement, and hybrid teaching modalities. Recent publications emphasize simulation’s role in medical mission training, role modeling in clinical education, and innovative classroom feedback systems. Her work bridges theoretical and practical nursing education, enhancing student preparedness for clinical environments.
