Asal Kazerooni

Asal Kazerooni is a Science and Learning Skills Tutor at the Centre for Student Success, Department of Health and Wellbeing. She specializes in academic and learning support for entry-level students, delivering individual and group tutoring sessions in biology and chemistry modules across various programs.

Her current activities include:

• Leading Peer-Assisted Learning (PAL) programs for FY and JC2 students
• Conducting Peer-Led Session (PLS) tutorials for all academic years
• Developing a support curriculum for N1 students with 4-5 sessions per semester
• Delivering FY support tutorials in biology and chemistry-related modules

Prior research involved projects on:

• IGF-I and glargine effects on RACK-1 expression in MCF-7 breast cancer cells
• Mutation identification in PimE of Mycobacterium Smegmatis Class III variants
• MLTS applications in bacterial pathogen characterization for public health
