Artur Escalada

Artur Escalada is a CSIC Staff Scientist and Vicedirector of the Biofisika Institute (IBF), jointly affiliated with the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and the University of the Basque Country (EHU). He serves as Technical Director of the Basque Resource for Advanced Light Microscopy (BRALM), a core facility providing cutting-edge imaging technologies to national and international researchers.

His research focuses on biophysical methods to study molecular dynamics in cells and lipid vesicles, with expertise in channel electrophysiology and fluorescence techniques. As part of the Euro-bioimaging network, he plays a key role in advancing access to advanced microscopy across Spain.
