Dr. Arti Patel Varanasi is a Lecturer at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and the President & CEO of Advancing Synergy, LLC. She has over 25 years of experience in cancer research, public health, and project management, with a focus on leveraging technology to address chronic diseases and improve health equity.
- Education:
- Ph.D. in Pathology, University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill
- Master’s in Public Health, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health
- Certified in Public Health (CPH)
Her research spans cancer prevention, epidemiology, and the application of biotechnology to enhance health outcomes. She has contributed to nationally recognized epidemiological studies and led projects like the Susan G. Komen®-funded initiative for virtual breast cancer support systems.

Dr. Varanasi currently teaches Molecular Biology, Epidemiology, and Psychosocial Determinants of Health at Johns Hopkins. She remains engaged in health advocacy and entrepreneurship within the D.C.-Maryland-Virginia region.
