Eshan Patel, PhD, MPH, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Epidemiology at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. He is affiliated with the AIDS Linked to the Intravenous Experience (ALIVE) study and collaborates across Baltimore, India, and Uganda.
Research Interests
Dr. Patel's work focuses on the laboratory detection, epidemiology, and prevention of infectious diseases, particularly HIV, hepatitis C, and sexually transmitted infections. His research examines how social/structural factors like stigma influence disease risk and prevention among priority populations, including people who inject drugs.
