Dr. Arshia Zaidi is an Associate Professor of Criminology at Ontario Tech University, specializing in intersectional approaches to violence in immigrant communities.
Her research examines intimate partner violence through lenses of immigration status, gender, and cultural identity. Zaidi investigates how systemic barriers affect help-seeking behaviors among marginalized populations.
She has received SSHRC funding for studies on Islamophobia and COVID-19 impacts on vulnerable groups. Zaidi teaches advanced data analysis and mentors graduate students in social justice research.
