Dr. Arpine Maghakyan is a Lecturer in Accounting at the Adam Smith Business School, University of Glasgow, joining in January 2022. She earned her Ph.D. in Accounting from Aalto University in 2021 and maintains a visiting researcher affiliation with Aalto.

She contributes to journals like Contemporary Accounting Research and European Accounting Review.
Active in editorial and review roles, Arpine serves on the Accounting Open editorial board and reviews for European Accounting Review and other journals. She supervises doctoral students Chen Liu and Wei Shen while teaching courses in Data Analytics for Accounting, Audit Risk, and Cash Flow Analysis.
