Aron Perenyi

Dr. Aron Perenyi is a Senior Lecturer in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Swinburne University of Technology’s School of Business, Law and Entrepreneurship. He holds a PhD from Swinburne and degrees in Engineering Management (Budapest University of Technology) and Economics (Corvinus University of Budapest). His research focuses on entrepreneurship, economic development, SME growth, international business dynamics, and leadership ethics. He teaches business innovation (undergraduate) and growth management (postgraduate), and leads initiatives like an entrepreneurial ecosystem study tour and a start-up simulation game for students.

Perenyi’s research spans global contexts, including Australia, Hungary, Central/Eastern Europe, and Indigenous communities. He is a member of professional bodies such as the Academy of International Business (AIB), ANZAM, and EURAM. His applied work includes collaborations with SMEs, governments, and NGOs, and he actively participates in two start-ups while advising others. He holds NAATI certification for Hungarian-English translation and serves as an adjunct academic in Hungary.

He has secured grants for projects like the Energy Equity Work Program (2023–2025) and Modelling Gippsland’s Health Workforce (2018–2019). His awards include the Faculty Teaching Excellence Award (2017) and Rotary International’s Paul Harris Fellow recognition. Perenyi supervises doctoral candidates across diverse topics, including innovation systems, ESG resilience, and Indigenous energy policy.
