Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Al-Kilani is a Lecturer and Professor in International Entrepreneurship at the Institute of Management, School of Business at FHNW. He holds a PhD from Anglia Ruskin University (Cambridge) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching & Learning in Higher Education. His professional focus includes International Entrepreneurship, Entrepreneurial Ecosystems, Start-ups, Business Model Innovation in SMEs, Circular Economy, and Digital Transformation.
Research interests span Business Model Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Sustainability of Start-ups, and Social Innovation Hubs. Notable projects include analyzing intangible reporting for KPMG and evaluating social innovation hubs in the Middle East. He teaches courses such as Financial Decision Making, Economics for Business, and Leadership & Psychology.
Key publications (2021–2024) address cultural impacts on entrepreneurship via machine learning, necessity entrepreneurship in Lebanese agriculture, and sustainability of social innovation hubs. Projects include collaborations with KPMG and the International Association for Accounting Education & Research.
