معرفی
Arne Brataas is a Professor at the Department of Physics, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), where he has been since 2002. He holds a Ph.D. in Physics from NTNU (1997) and completed postdoctoral research at TU Delft (1997–1999) and Harvard University (1999–2002). He served as Founding Director of the Center of Excellence QuSpin (2017–2023) and chaired the Kavli Prize Committee in Nanoscience (2013–2019). He is also a recipient of the 2015 ERC Advanced Grant and former Divisional Associate Editor of Physical Review Letters (2007–2014).
His research focuses on quantum transport and spin dynamics in insulators, semiconductors, metals, and superconductors. Key projects include studies of antiferromagnetic materials, magnon-mediated phenomena, and spintronic devices. His work bridges fundamental physics and applied technologies, with contributions to superconductivity, spintronics, and cavity magnonics.
Publications span topics like magnon condensation, spin pumping, and antiferromagnetic resonance, reflecting expertise in both theoretical and experimental condensed matter physics. Awards highlight his leadership and innovation in nanoscience research. He has advised four Ph.D. students and collaborates widely on interdisciplinary projects.
