Ariel Levi is an Associate Professor of Teaching in Management at Wayne State University's Mike Ilitch School of Business. He holds a PhD from Yale University (1982), completed postdoctoral training at Columbia University (1983), and earned a BA from the University of California (1976). Levi maintains active membership in the Academy of Management, American Psychological Association, Society for Industrial/Organizational Psychology, and Society for Human Resource Management.
His primary research explores:
- Reactions to affirmative action/diversity programs among beneficiaries and non-beneficiaries
- International HRM practices influenced by national values
- Perceptions of corporate social responsibility
- Employee responses to organizational restructuring
- Cross-cultural impacts on HR systems including job design and performance evaluation
Levi's recent publications demonstrate sustained focus on diversity dynamics in multinational contexts, evolving toward symbolic aspects of DEI programs and generational work values. His work consistently integrates temporal, cultural, and ethical dimensions of organizational behavior.
