Ariel Lambe is an Associate Professor and Associate Department Head at the University of Connecticut’s Waterbury Campus. She holds a B.A. (2004) from Yale University and a Ph.D. (2014) in Latin American and Caribbean History from Columbia University. Her research focuses on Cuban antifascism, transnational movements, political exile, and the 1930s Atlantic World. She teaches Latin American, Caribbean, and U.S. History courses. Her notable work includes the book No Barrier Can Contain It: Cuban Antifascism and the Spanish Civil War (2019), analyzing Cuban involvement in the Spanish Civil War. She has also contributed to volumes on transnational antifascist solidarity. Lambe resides in Hamden, CT, and her scholarship bridges historical activism and global solidarity networks.
