- Education: Master in Economics and Finance (Dauphine University), Master in Philosophy (University of Nanterre), PhD in Political Science (Sciences Po)
His research spans the ethics of war, international norms, political theory, and the normative measurement of human lives in conflict scenarios. He explores the intersection of empirical analysis and moral frameworks in warfare, focusing on proportionality, hostage dynamics, and the epistemic limits of predicting future security threats.
Colonomos’ publications examine the moral challenges of quantifying human value in political decisions, the aesthetics of human sciences, and the philosophical implications of future war predictions. His recent works include award-winning titles like Pricing Lives and Selling the Future, which analyze the ethical and practical dilemmas of measuring lives and forecasting global politics.
Scientific accolades include two IEthics Section Book Awards from the International Studies Association (2017, 2025) for his contributions to war ethics and predictive politics. He currently supervises PhD candidates in international norms and political theory at Sciences Po.
