Ari Rosenberg is an Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, affiliated with the Biomedical Engineering department under the School of Medicine and Public Health, with additional affiliations in Neuroscience. His research focuses on understanding 3D vision, multisensory integration, and the neuro-computational underpinnings of autism.
His work employs computational modeling, neurophysiological studies, and human psychophysical experiments, including innovative methods using Bingham functions to quantify 3D orientation selectivity. Recent studies explored single-trial fMRI decoding of 3D motion and functional localization of the visual motion area FST in humans.
- Vilas Associate Award recipient (2020)
- NEI R01 grant (2018) for hierarchical cortical networks in 3D vision
The lab supports graduate students and postdocs, with members like Lowell (McPherson Eye Research Award), Lauren Kresser (Best Research Presentation), and Zikang (Yin Fellowship). They also develop the open-source REC-GUI framework for real-time neuroscience experiments.
