Hasan Khatib is Professor and Associate Chair in Genetics & Epigenetics at UW-Madison, leading research on epigenetic regulation in livestock. His team studies how paternal diet influences embryo development and transgenerational traits through DNA methylation changes.
With expertise in bovine genomics, he co-leads the Ruminant Telomere-to-Telomere Consortium and investigates molecular mechanisms of genomic imprinting. His work bridges basic science and agricultural applications.
- Manages herd-based genetic studies
- Develops epigenetic editing approaches
