Araceli Lopez-Martens

Araceli Lopez-Martens is a Researcher at the National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) and works at the Laboratory of the Physics of the two Infinities Irène Joliot-Curie (IJCLab - Université Paris-Saclay, CNRS, Université Paris Cité). She specializes in experimental nuclear physics, focusing on the internal cohesion of atomic nuclei and extreme nuclear deformation.

Education:

• Double Bachelor's degree in Physics and Russian at the University of Sussex (UK)
• Diploma of Advanced Studies (now equivalent to a Master’s) in Fields, Particles, and Materials at Université Paris-Sud (now Université Paris-Saclay)
• PhD in Nuclear Physics at the Nuclear and Mass Spectrometry Centre (CSNSM), now part of IJCLab
