Anwar Sibtain is a Senior Lecturer and Consultant in the Department of Perioperative Medicine at Queen Mary University of London's Barts Heart Centre, part of the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry. He holds dual qualifications in Medicine and Neuroscience from the University of Cambridge and completed clinical training at Imperial College London. His research focuses on persistent postsurgical pain, systems neuroscience, and autonomic nervous system effects on cardiac parameters. He has received the American Pain Society's Young Investigator Award and presented at the National Institute of Academic Anaesthesia's Jubilee Symposium.
