Anthony Teasdale

Anthony Teasdale is a Visiting Professor in Practice at the London School of Economics (LSE) European Institute and an Adjunct Professor at Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA). His career spans academia and high-level roles in European Union institutions, including Director General of the European Parliamentary Research Service (EPRS) from 2013 to 2022. He has also served as a Lecturer in Politics at Oxford University and a Research Fellow.

• Education: First-class honours BSc in Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) and MPhil in Politics at Oxford University.

His research focuses on European Union institutions, policy-making processes, and political history since 1945. He has expertise in institutional dynamics, global trends, and EU strategic foresight.

He has co-authored major works, including The Penguin Companion to European Union (2012), and published on topics like the Fouchet Plan in the LSE's LEQS series. His academic contributions are complemented by teaching roles on EU policy and global challenges.
