He is Associate Artistic Director and Composer-in-Residence at Castle of Our Skins (COOS), an organization celebrating Black artistry through music. His works address themes like racial equity, queer identity, and capitalism critique through operas, cabaret pieces, and interdisciplinary performances. Collaborations include performers Hajnal Pivnik, ALEA III, and Dame Evelyn Glennie across 25+ countries. He has premiered works in venues from Berlin to Kumasi, Ghana, and participated in residencies like Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts (2017) and perfocraZe (2021).
Research focuses on bridging music with social activism, exemplified by projects like Alex in Transition (transgender narrative opera) and Four Parts: ZOOM IN (performance art critiquing systemic racism). His compositions Oh, Freedom! (slavery-racial injustice link) and His Mind & What He Heard (queer racism critique) highlight his thematic depth. Green studied with Theodore Antoniou, Lee Hyla, and Robert Cogan, and participated in masterclasses with Jonathan Harvey and the JACK Quartet.
Key activities include COOS concert curation, commissioning emerging composers, and lecturing on Black composers' historical contributions. His performances combine classical traditions with avant-garde techniques, often integrating visual art and community engagement.
