Anthony Dudo is an Associate Professor at the Stan Richards School of Advertising & Public Relations at the University of Texas at Austin. He serves as program director of science communication in the Center for Media Engagement, focusing on scientists' public engagement, media representations of science, and the impact of journalism/entertainment media on public perceptions.
- Ph.D. in Journalism and Mass Communication from University of Wisconsin-Madison
- M.A. in Communication from University of Delaware
- B.A. in Media and Communication from Muhlenberg College
His research examines factors influencing scientists' communication behaviors, institutional support for science engagement (training programs, societies), and funded projects from the National Science Foundation (NSF), Department of Energy, and major foundations. Dudo has authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications, co-authored the book Strategic Science Communication, and teaches science communication courses within UT’s cross-disciplinary minor.

Dudo’s work has received recognition through AAAS Fellowship and multiple teaching/research awards. His grants include funding from NSF, Rita Allen Foundation, and Kavli Foundation. Previously, he served as chair of the Communicating Science Division at AEJMC and worked in strategic communications for the Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia.
