Anthony A. Peguero is a Foundation Professor at Arizona State University (ASU), affiliated with the T. Denny Sanford School of Social and Family Dynamics and the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice. He directs the Laboratory for the Study of Youth Inequality and Justice, focusing on youth violence, socialization, education, and the adaptation of immigrant children.
His research highlights barriers faced by immigrant youth, the role of social inequality in criminological theory, and the intersection of race, gender, and immigration in youth marginalization. He has secured approximately $10 million in external funding and authored two books, two edited volumes, 17 peer-reviewed book chapters, and over 100 journal articles.
