Dr. Annika Klanke serves as a Research Fellow at Bielefeld University, holding dual affiliations with the Faculty of Linguistics and Literary Studies and the Interdisciplinary Center for Gender Studies (IZG). Since May 2021, she has worked as a Research Associate at the Graduate School "Gender as Experience" where she supervises doctoral research.
Her scholarly work centers on feminist literary theory and historical gender analysis. Key research areas include:
- Feminist essay writing and contemporary political discourse
- Theoretical frameworks for literary gender studies
- Evolution of feminist theory in literary contexts
- Analysis of "Caring Figures" in 18th-19th century German literature
Prior to her current position, Dr. Klanke served as a research assistant at TU Dortmund University's Faculty of Cultural Studies and German Literature (2019-2021) following completion of her Master's degree in German Literature at Humboldt University Berlin and Cornell University. Her interdisciplinary approach contributes significantly to Bielefeld University's strategic focus on societal dynamics within "The Changing World" research area.
