Dr Annie Mitchell is an Associate Professor in the Creative Arts department within the Faculty of Business, Law and Arts at Southern Cross University. She serves as Course Co-ordinator for the Bachelor of Contemporary Music Honours Program and is a key figure in the Contemporary Music Program. Her work integrates academic scholarship with active musical performance and community engagement across regional Australia.

She performs 12–15 concerts annually and composes and arranges works for orchestras, big bands, ensembles, and choirs, demonstrating a strong integration of creative practice and academic inquiry.
