Annemarie Farrell is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Sport Management at Stonehill College since 2024. She focuses on sport marketing, sales, and consumer behavior, integrating sociological perspectives on fan motivation and cultural developments. Her email is afarrell5@stonehill.edu.

Her research explores intersections between sport marketing and societal economics, culture, and gender dynamics, particularly in women’s sports. She emphasizes experiential learning and sales skill development in the classroom.
Awards
- Recognized with the AACSB International’s “Innovations that Inspire Award” for creating transformational student experiences through partnerships with major sports leagues.
Farrell also serves as a manager for the U.S. women’s national rugby team and has coached rugby at multiple institutions, including Ithaca College, where she led a men’s team as one of the few female head coaches. She is a Level 3 certified coach, World Rugby Educator, and frequent speaker on coaching pedagogy.
