Anneke Schewe is a researcher and assistant lecturer at the English Department of Kiel University's Philosophical Faculty. Since 2020, she has combined early career research with teaching responsibilities while serving in multiple roles including diversity officer for the Philosophical Faculty (since 2023) and emergency first aider (since 2025). Her academic work focuses on intersectional analysis of genre hybridity in North American cultural production.

As diversity and equality guide, she advocates for inclusive classroom practices while teaching courses on literary methodologies, frontier myths, and queer representation. Her work connects cinematic aesthetics with critical theory across historical and contemporary narratives.
