Derek P. Lee

Derek P. Lee is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English at Wake Forest University, specializing in twentieth and twenty-first century literature. His interdisciplinary research spans modernist and contemporary culture, science studies, multiethnic fiction, and graphic narratives.

Research examines:

• Entanglements between Western/non-Western knowledge systems
• Paranormal representations in literature and science
• Asian American speculative fiction
• Comics and racial representation

Publications explore epistemology through diverse lenses including Lovecraftian horror, quantum narratives, and postcolonial zombies. Recent work focuses on racial representation in comics and narrative medicine.
