Anne McKee Reed serves as Assistant Professor of Voice, Voice Area Coordinator, and Music Department Co-Chair at Pacific University, based in the Taylor-Meade Performing Arts Center where she teaches vocal performance courses and oversees departmental operations.
Her academic credentials include:
- Master of Music from Portland State University
- Bachelor of Music from the University of Redlands
A professional soprano, Ms. Reed specializes in Voice Performance and Vocal Pedagogy with deep expertise in Opera and Musical Theater. She has performed principal roles in Portland Opera productions including Philip Glass' Galileo Galilei (Sagredo/Marie d'Medici), Ravel's L'enfant et les Sortileges, and Mozart's The Magic Flute, alongside regional engagements with Mock's Crest and Broadway Rose Theatre Company.
She actively mentors students through First Year Advising and Community courses while co-leading a study abroad program to Austria and Hungary, integrating cultural immersion with musical education.
Ms. Reed collaborates extensively with the Theatre Department as music director, produces the annual departmental musical/opera, and has recorded original compositions by Timothy Stevens, demonstrating strong interdisciplinary partnerships.
