Susan Wallin serves as Lecturer of Voice at Baldwin Wallace Conservatory of Performing Arts since 2017, teaching applied voice to music and theatre majors, voice class, and singers' phonetics. She also maintains West Side Vocal Academy, a private studio in Akron.

Research and Performance Focus: Ms. Wallin specializes in coloratura soprano repertoire with expertise spanning Baroque to contemporary works. Her performance career centers on technically demanding roles in Mozart, Strauss, and Gilbert & Sullivan operas, while her pedagogical work emphasizes vocal technique, diction, and stagecraft for musical theatre. She actively bridges performance practice with voice science through singers' phonetics instruction.
Scientific Awards: Ms. Wallin's competitive achievements include:

- Opera Columbus and Metropolitan Opera Regional Auditions victories
- Double wins in Tuesday Musical Club Gertrude Pflaum Scholarship
- Double wins in Akron Symphony Chorus John MacDonald Vocal Scholarship
Advising and Professional Impact: Her students consistently win NATS, VOCI, Schmidt Competition, and Classical Singer awards, with three consecutive Dazzle Award Best Actress wins in Cleveland. Graduates perform on Broadway, national tours, and at institutions including CCM, NYU, and Eastman. Since 2018, she has served as Vice President of NATS Ohio Chapter while directing community theatre productions and founding the Independent Voice Teachers Conference.
Performance Leadership: Ms. Wallin has performed with major orchestras including Cincinnati Symphony and Cleveland Orchestra, made Carnegie Hall debut in Handel's "Messiah", and premiered Peter Mowrey's "Sangreal". Her recent work includes Ravel's "Shéhérazade" and collaborations with Verb Ballet and Chamber Music Society of Ohio.
