Soprano and educator Heather Dudenbostel holds the title of Assistant Professor of Voice and Dramatic Arts at Western Washington University (WWU), where she also serves as Opera Theater Director. She is affiliated with WWU's Department of Music and has staged productions with the WWU Theatre and Music Department, including L'enfant et les sortilèges and Orpheus in the Underworld. Her career spans performances with major orchestras and theaters across New York, Los Angeles, and the Pacific Northwest.

Her research focuses on vocal pedagogy and innovative teaching methods, emphasizing sustainable singing techniques. She has created the Blackbox Musical Theatre workshop and directed acclaimed cabaret performances like Exploring Sondheim. Her stage direction work includes Carnegie Hall productions and collaborations with the Bellingham Symphony Orchestra.
Award-winning productions include the 2022 National Opera Association honored Suor Angelica and Slow Dusk. She regularly adjudicates vocal competitions and lectures on singing science at events like Nerd Nite in Los Angeles.
Her pedagogical impact extends to alumni working in Broadway tours, opera, and recording arts. She maintains active roles in professional organizations NATS and NOA.
